    of changes should be made You can imagine with five brewers this is a long decision process And now De Verhuisbrouwerij is even with more brewers In 2008 a solution was found Every brewer develops his own recipe and is in charge of the brewing demonstration This resulted in very nice and new ideas and of course a lot of new beer recipes Brewer Jan was the first to finish his recipe at 2010 A beer with nuts is not that easy The oil of the nuts prevent having a nice foam head on the beer The main issue however was the kind of nuts to use After carefull selection the hazelnut was the winner The Taste The aroma is malty caramel sour and light moderate hoppy The body is fruity dry and a little sour aftertaste Just to be clear this beer is NOT a winter beer style and yes the sourness is intended this is the effect of the peal from the hazelnut This was an experiment to get that beer style without the wild yeast process If it was infected the sourness would be much more overwhelming Recipe Barley malt Wheat malt Hallertau Hop East Kent Hop

    you can whistle on now they have a special beer to honour the festivities The Story Behind The Beer This beer recipe has been developped in 2007 by the freelance brewers Alex and Yannick Are they really freelance or rather slaves of the brewery After numerous trials they came to this final recipe This recipe is used exclusively by the organisation of the yearly festivities in Ouwegem The Label The label has been designed by publi Michels with the cooperation of Marc De Bel and Chris Snoeck The picture on the label is a wooden statue of a slave which can be found at the church in the village of Ouwegem Recipe Barley malt Wheat malt Maltextract Sugar T 58 yeast Magnum hop Hallertau Tradition hop Bitterness 40 EBU 7 5 ABV The Taste This beer has a fruity nose malty and fruity flavor that quickly makes place for a nice hopbitterness Big Brews Every brew of this recipe is marked with a roman number because these brews are made periodically and the taste changes according the age and the fermentation on the bottle With these numbers you can easily check which brew you have The recipe always stays the
