    the Spanish Air Force Canadair CL 215T 43 26 deployed in the Balears during the summer period has come to action taking the water just in front of the attraction park It is interesting to note that the Spanish Canadair fleet 14 CL 215T and 3 CL 415 are under control of the Ejército del Aire Usualy the Canadair fleet is based at Madrid Torrejon under the 43 grupo including the 431 squadron and the 432 squadron Five other airplane of this kind former Spanish Air Force CL 215 upgraded in T version of this kind are handled by the Ministry of Environment CEGISA T he opportunity was great to saw two water reload procedures and this was very impressive as it just take 20 sec to reload the plane with around 5400 liters of water Few moments later we passed with the bus near the fire very closed from the motorway and we saw the damages caused by this criminal stupid and thoughtless act The road to the mountains area is closed for security reasons The fire is quite near the homes PZL W 3AM Sokol from the Balears Governement Bringing members of the firebragade Martinez Ridao Air Truck

  • A day with the Red Devils

    seconds to complete the performance The judges measure the remaining water quantity in the bucket and the position of the bucket on the table by the millimeter Stage 5 The last test which was not performed this year is usually a free style flight The pilot fly alone without co pilot he may use smoke and music but he must fly in less than 4 minutes into a square of 500 meters and may not rise above an altitude of 150 meters My regret was that this test was not in the program this year because regarding the previous performances it was supposed to be a great and impressive demonstration of virtuosity If you are interested in more pictures of this event be advised that a video and a book about the championship 2011 will be soon published The organizers will indicate the publication on their website www european helicopter cup com So keep connected Slalom with a bucket Memory notes of the different flight included in the competition The Belgian participant from Temploux airfield The co pilots has a great resposability in the guidance The Russian are the great winners of the competition The fender flight This year the winner of the European Helicopter Cup was a Russian crew with Evgenia KURPITKO as pilot and Vladimir STRIYONOK as co pilot They flew with the Robinson R44 R2 F GZMY At second and third place two other Russian crews who flew the same helicopter At second place Yuri YABLOKOV pilot and Georgy ARBUZOV co pilot at third place Andrei OREKHOV pilot and Victor KALININ co pilot The Belgian crew Jacques BERLO and Pierre PORTZENHEIM who participated with the Robinson R44 R2 OO ISA from Temploux Aeroclub ended the contest at the eleventh place Complete results can be found on http www helico org spip php article113 Le Touquet is also the home base of a SA365N Dauphin s n 157 detached from the French Navy Flotille 35F and operated by two military crews The machine is flying about 440 hours a year and makes an amount of 60 to 80 scrambles each year The main mission of this helicopter is search and rescue but other flights are also performed like surveillance of fishing fight against pollution struggle against drugs and naval police task This Dauphin constitutes the north part of a vaster monitoring and rescue system deployed along the French coasts French Navy Dauphin are deployed in Le Touquet in Cherbourg in La Rochelle and in Hyères Another rescue helicopter was present at Le Touquet airport this week end It was the EC 145 F ZBPQ s n 9031 which is operated by the Sécurité civile at Issy les Moulineau near Paris French Navy Flotille 35F Aerospatial SA360N Dauphin detached by the French Navy at Le Touquet Courtesy visit from the Navy pilots to their colleagues of the Air Force Eurocopter EC 145 Sécurité civile Aérospatiale AS 355 F1 Eurocopter EC 120 Le Touquet Paris Plage tarmac Le Touquet based

  • The "Reds" for remembrance

  • Wings of Saint Tropez
    on board of her Extra 300 She was followed by Julien Axel Folley with his Alphajet solo display The harmonious and brilliant Catalina was a pleasure to look at Thanks to its perfect curves flying gracefully in the azure sky and above the sparkling water of this tropezian afternoon the seaplane brought with him a moment of pure and great emotion Another great moment came with another great historic plane an Air France DC 3 decorated in his original 1946 Air France livery That was a beautiful moment of history From greatness to strengh there is only one step This was all about the Seafury still as winged and famous for his thin and graphic streaks This very moment was the perfect icebreaker for the ball of the Breitling Jet Team with a perfect performance set like a clockwork Cherry on top the sparkling final which opened the arrival of the most famous of warbirds the Spitfire This aeronautical jewel gave us some rare and precious moments The final ending of Les Ailes de Saint Tropez was performed by the P atrouille de France well known as PAF still the same with a complete and pleasant 2011 program To put it in a nutshell this event Les Ailes de Saint Tropez s first edition presented a small but one of the highest quality selection of planes Although there were no taxiway or parking neither shops or podium there was only an exhibition about Latécoère history in town This air show had a very special taste of beauty above the turquoise water of the Mediterranean sea Sun and blue sky at saint Tropez for the event A real fair on the beach Catherine Maunoury boss of the Paris Air and Space museum and aerobatic pilot on board her Extra 300 Alpha
